In this video we talk about how to graph square root function with stretch and compression. To determine whether it's a vertical or horizontal transformation, we first look at whether the coefficient is "inside" or "outside" the function. If it's "inside" the function, then it will be a horizontal stretch or compression. If it's "outside", then it will be a vertical stretch or compression.

Now, what about determining whether it's a stretch or compression? We need to see if that coefficient is bigger than 1 or less than 1. See the video for more info!
