Every single person that is an elected official that is over the age of 70 need to stand down. As a 59-year-old woman we’ve had our chance to make this country what we wanted it to be. Now it’s time for the younger generations to make the country that they want it to be. It’s fine if you want to keep working and doing something that’s fine. Go work somewhere that you don’t have to make decisions for the country. We get older. Our ideas are old. They don’t work. They’re not progressive.

My esteem for President Biden has only risen but the way the Democrats have handled this has made me reevaluate my feelings about the party and they are not great. They praise Biden now, as they should, but only after they spent all last week throwing him under the bus.
