“There has been, and this is a new one to me – a wind drought and not much sunshine.”

Great commentary.
Peter Dutton can and must "save" Australia, but all Australians must help him by voting him in power, the lodge, as PM, definitely.
Otherwise, if we don't stop Labor and Green bandits we will, and alredy paying catastrophic cost of living and well below poverty line standard of living, definitely 🇦🇺❤️👍🤗🐖🌎🇺🇸💯 6:26

Maybe just keep the stuff that was working, and let private industry innovate, as it does when not hindered by government regulations.

Quickest way out was to spend a lowly $500m to revamp Hazlewood for another 20 years. The Cheapest Power is The Key to industrial success. Which is why China is building a new coal fired plant every 1/2 week

Labor are in power, where they want to be.
*EVERYTHING IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY NOW AND DEFLECTIONS FIX NOTHING*
But hey. Maybe bring the LNP back if you want a solution 😊

There are some nations in Africa today who do not have reliable electrical energy. It is one factor in their weak economies.

The cheapest form of electricity generation comes from coal, we have enough coal for about seven hundred years,

Where there is no vision the people perish. We are governed by fools, the fact blackouts are even a possibility is beyond comprehension.

We have some of the largest LNG reserves in the world. Without question this should be used until a nuclear transition is viable.

Why didn't the coalition act in their ten years of government?

I'm confused. Are they proposing a hybrid network, of nuclear AND renewables?

I thought they were against renewables?

The lights are already going out due to the month-to-date 2024 being a Natural Period of "Wind Drought" expected to continue

In 2024, Australia saw an extended so-called wind energy “drought” – the second in as many months. Autumn is “traditionally” the season with the lowest wind outputs, but the lull this year has been extraordinary and pushed the combined output of renewables below its lowest output recorded

Australia-wide wide to date in 2024 the share of variable renewable energy (VRE, or solar and wind), has fallen below last year’s levels.

Build the nuclear reactors for good clean and safe energy or keep paying your high price out of reach prices instead of whinging and whining about high current sky high energy prices .
