Thank you Dr.Jeff. For part (b), I guess you forgot to multiply by the factor of safety that equals to 1.3, so the correct answer should be found as follows:

Stress_yield= 26 ksi
Stress_max = Stress_y/ F.S
Stress_max = 26/ 1.3
Stress_max= 20 ksi

S_max= F/A
F_max = 20 *(pi/4 * 2²)
F_max=62.832 kips✔️

For part b, wouldn’t it be 62.83 kip because you were also asked to add a Factor of Safety of 1.3?

For part D, isn't modulus of resilience the area under the triangle part of the graph before it gets to deformation? SO the volume would be equal to energy divided by area under the linear part of the graph?

Shouldn't it also be 962 instead of 96.2 since we are multiplying by 1000? For 9000 it was 9 x 1000 so it should be 26 x 1000 x 0.037 = 962
