Strickly speaking: It's incredibly ethical. Imagine the lives that would be saved by using the mindless dead to fight. And the money you could save: They're already dead, no need to provide them proper protective gear. Don't need medics, either: They're, again, already dead.

I feel Necromancers would honestly be a *very* in-demand profession.

I wish there was a MC in a novel who used this. Like he creates a big enemy for his people but keeps it at a certain level. Creates jobs, makes use of waste, and generally is fun.
