As a former scooter commuter who put as much as 600 miles on my bike in a day, to say they’re only good for trips of a few miles is pretty short sighted. Our club would do weekend trips of 100+ miles per day that included bikes as small as 125cc.

I have this bike, done about 5000 kilometers on it.
Had 2 scooters before and a 250 Kawasaki boss motorbike. Not super experienced but an ok rider.
Have to say, the Honda ADV 150 is the best by far.
I bought it in Thailand and have gone on long trips, on very twisty mountain roads, long twisty, and very rough roads. And great LED lights. It really is a fantastic, fun bike to ride, even with a passenger. The bike comes with a rear disk brake in Thailand. Great in town too, . It's never going to compete with a Africa twin, but it isn't meant to.

Very informative and enjoyable. Some reviewers would feel compelled to find fault with the handling and power, in order to prove they are real men. Your comments were based on reasonable expectations. This is clearly an outstanding scooter/bike, and a great value. Thanks.

I like that the manufacturers are bringing more entry level products to market. Its a critical move for the future of moto's as less young people are riding than in the past. To address this trend they need the price point and ease of use to be on the lower end of the spectrum. I think the ADV 150 is a move in the right direction.

I'm a very happy ADV150 owner. The Aussie version has dual disc brakes, no park-brake, and an idling stop switch. I've crashed mine once in a patch of sand on a mountain trail, but otherwise it has held up very well during anything I've thrown at it so far. I feel absolutely spoiled by the under-seat storage. I'm a scooter convert now.

I'm from the US but live in Thailand now, our ADV 150 comes with rear disc brakes and costs about $3, 000---$3, 300 new. Wish Honda would do an upgrade and make an ADV 300---350

I haven't rode a Motor Cycle for over 12 year's and I even let my Driver's Licence expire about 6 year's ago.
Looking at this scooter remind's me of My Y2K Piaggio X9 250 Mk1 which was Powered by a Honda Foresight engine.
I am in my mid 50's now and I don't think I could handle anything more Powerfull these day's.
The only thing that machine lack's is some DS tyre's to make it a true all-rounder.
I really liked your review Especialy the part where you made a Point of The Impotance of Propper Safety Clothing and Footwear.
Keep up the good work Buddy.

Glad you kept the crash in the video. Probably will save some skin on some viewers.

I’ve seen a lot of videos on this ADV and it seems to have a lot of capabilities above my expectations would ever be.
Hard to judge your riding skills and ability to being reasonable on maneuvering of this scooter. It is a scooter and not meant to be ridden in the standing position on floor boards. I expect to get many years of enjoyment from my 2022 Honda ADV 150 using as it was intended.👍

Alex: "How easy this bike is to ride." Me: " but didn't you just crash it a couple days ago?"

I have a new 2022 ADV and just love it. As of Nov 2021 I currently have a little over a 1, 000 miles and it has been great. Just traded in my 2009 Yamaha Vino 125 and this new Honda is scooter supreme.👍

I did the same thing on my Helix a month ago at around the same speed with no gloves or jacket. It was a good reminder to wear the gear.

Made me nervous you weaving it after watching your dump straight away. Nice looking bike. Dig the review impressions. At 4:45 that is the same park that Roman and Tommy took the C8 Vette for its review. Need to be careful around there. Nutty drivers. 184 miles is.. fair. Would expect more since it is a scooter tho. I had 165 range on my XLR250. (for a comparison) Fair price.

*I think the main rationale behind the 'rear-drum' has more to do w/the potential loss of 'no front-brake' from 'loss of fluid' than anything else*
*You'll still have stopping power with or without the front-brake and in many parts of the World it's difficult to find a repair place or even access to brake-fluid*
