I understand that anytime you move the clutch away from the back of the crank you are creating a fulcrum point which will put more pressure on the mains and thrust bearing but it seams like your setup is has a very large distance between the two. Just wondering how adapters affect engine wear

damn thats the info i needed ! i am done milling a adapter plate for my 4g63 6bolt to a 5 speed m57 gearbox .. so the gs5-39dz aaand i was wondering if i have do turn a adapter plate to run factory bmw flywheel (or better a single mass) oooor if i should run just the bmw chlutch disk with mitsu flywheel and pressureplate

look up collins adapters, the kits that they have don't have all those plates and adapters.
