I did not have Elyse Myers being my new favorite book creator on my bingo card this year but I am here for it

Oh my goodness thanks to your recommendation I listened to And Then There Was One and even my 11 old son was interested. Long after the book was finished we kept talking about the book analyzing every aspect of it. He became so excited that he asked to listen to more books with me. It was a bit odd given the content but he was so entertained he said “this villain was better than even Darth Vader” I thought it was a compliment since he’s obsessed with Star Wars. I’m just happy he’s excited to spend time with me listening to a book and analyzing it. Thanks

I absolutely adore listening to you talk about books. It’s so thorough and well thought out and concise without feeling remotely spoilery. I sincerely can’t wait for these videos every month.

There’s nothing I love more than listening to people talk about books they’ve read, whether they’ve enjoyed them or not. People have already commented this, but your reviews are just perfect. They’re well organized/thought out, without spoilers. I’ve read quite a few of these books and it doesn’t matter if I’ve agreed or disagreed, what I loved is that you had thoughts and opinions that helped me see it from a different perspective. You have such a gift for this. ❤

Elyse, this book review series is feeding my soul. I read all of these kinds of books too. But I’ve always been a little embarrassed to admit it because I’m the only one I know who reads this stuff. The fact that you show to the whole internet that you love these books heals me in a way I didn’t know I needed. Thank you! 🥰

I recognize that I am commenting on an older video, but I've been in a reading slump and looking for recommendations and I love your approach and constant genuine communication style - so naturally I've been binging your reviews.
And I have to say THANK YOU for putting into words what I couldn't with Verity! I have never hated and liked a book so much before. I literally threw the book across the room when I finished it and then had to tell my husband all about it just to wrap my brain around it.
So thank you again. Loving your book reviews.

I am 4 books deep in the Elyse Myers Book Club. Your descriptions are spot on. I hadn’t given romance type novels much of a try, but I am hooked:) Please keep giving reviews!

I love how thoroughly you describe a book without spoiling the actual plot. It's everything I need to hear to know if I want to read it or not! Keep making these, I love them <33

Elyse, I'm a 60-year old recently diagnosed ADHD/Autistic female.
I love you! I discovered your TikTok account some time ago but didn't know you had a YouTube channel. I personally prefer YouTube over TikTok so thank you for taking the effort.
Also, thank you for the book recommendations. I concur with other comments regarding how you express different aspects of the book without spoilers. I've returned to university recently to finish (essentially restart) my Masters degree. So having a list of non-school books to turn to in order to rest my brain is wonderful! And, to have recommendations from a young woman, such as yourself (who reminds me of the 'me' when I was in my 20s back in the '80s) is a plus. I wish I would have known that I was neurodivergent back then. Would have saved me some grief...but knowing now that I'm not broken but different has given me a new lease on life.
Listening and watching you is so helpful for me, especially when I'm having one of those days where I feel a bit overwhelmed. You help me regroup and I appreciate that so very much.
Take care 🥰

I'm just amazed you remember all these details for every single book you read in a month (which is A LOT). I can barely finish a single book in a year, and I would not be able to talk about it a month later.

Please keep these book reviews coming! Being totally honest, I get so bored with so many people’s book review videos, but yours keep me so interested the entire time! ❤

You might like Elinor Oliphant is completely fine. It has a mystery but it’s just not scary at all because it’s a woman trying to figure out repressed meme prices from 20 years ago. It’s a good picture of mental illness and friendship, it’s not really my genre but I was hooked

Hi, just want to say thank you for these book reviews, I love and rewatch them. They have genuinely helped so much with my reintroduction to reading. I was the kid that slept with books, but my adhd made it so hard to read, I eventually just gave up. After watching your review, I picked up Kiss Quotient and I’ve been reading pretty much nonstop since. Your rating scale makes me feel so much more confident that I’ll actually want to read the books I pick up. Up until a few months ago, I hadn’t read a book since middle school, and now I’m up to 18 books for 2024 :)
