Personally, I prefer to do retributor, reikland wash, liberator gold all over dry brush and stormhost silver dry brush but using very little and only brushing from from the top of the model.

I paint gold with a leadbelcher basecoat, imperial fist contrast over that, nuln oil wash, stormhost silver drybrush

I did used to do my colour scheme a little like this, but, for me, it came out a little too rich gold. For me, a pale gold looks good. I use a spray of colour forge Gauntlet Gold, with a wash of reikland fleshade, or seraphim depending on the type of gold i want. I then do the highlighting subtly with auric armour, and maybe some detailing with a silver. Of course, that's just my personal preference, a lot of my custodes are now being silver and blue, because its one of the best colour combinations, and looks sick on Custodes

I got some vallejo metal colour series paints and GSW pigment and I am literally in the process of redoing my custodes army because its so much better.

No way am I ever going back to cheap metallic paint.

Personally, I prefer agrax earthshade for the gold instead of a flesh wash, but that's just me.

I've only just started and there are so many brushes out there I have no idea which one to for highlighting and fine detail.

Man here I am struggling to even paint an Aquila because Vallejo does NOT make good golds

All your shorts go blurry for me after 3 seconds into the short. I tried other YouTube shorts and they work just fine. But for some reason it's only with yours.

I pref the Forgeworld/30k Custodes more. I prime Black, 1 Coat Retributor, Nuln Oil, then dry brush with Skullsplitter Brass. Highlights with Liberator, Auric and Stormhost. Gives a much colder/worn Gold :)

retributor armor is one of the worst gold paints but its the best gold paint to spray😂😂😂
