in 2018-2019 LPL offered essentially a "blank check" TO FAKER. not to T1, to Faker himself. he could've asked for couple million but he said no.
T1 said they hope Faker stays on T1 even after he retires, whether as coach or management. they gave Faker ownership stakes in T1 too. so.. Faker is set for life.
i just hope Faker doesn't turn into one of those owner types that keeps himself on the roster long after he should retire.

he didn't leave during the korean exodus in 2014 when all the best korean players left for china. he had big offers, but refused. then he went and stomped worlds in 2015 after all the best korean players left the server. then he did it again in 2016. I think the unsung heros were the rox tigers who made back to back finals in 2015 and 2016 alongside t1 working with a very low budget and making it work after losing so much talent.

When he retires he will coach the team, or go to a leading role in the org, he is part owner, so he cares about the success of T1.
