this song oddly relates to what happened to my mother

she got into a car accident and went into a coma for a year straight. she fully recovered by the end of 2023 but i realized that it was already too late. she forgot everything about her family, she doesn't even know her own name. doctors tried their best at recovering her memory but to no avail.

i sat beside her hospital bed, showing her pictures and videos of us, her taking me on rides, laughing together on the beach. i couldn't control my tears. i had to cry beside her. i begged for her to remember, anything. but she couldn't. she cried as well, she was trying her absolute best to understand and remember but she was already too far gone.

it hurt me. it honestly hurt me to my soul to see my mother, the most loving human being I've ever been with stripped away like this. she's with my grandparents at the moment. she still has no memory of our times together but she knows our names at least, she tries to be the mother she was but i can feel her stressing out every single day.

these issues will always come back to me no matter what I do, honestly I will never escape them. and that’s perfectly fine, but not in my eyes. my thighs have to be perfect, my face can’t have all these pimples or else people will judge me! I can’t wear this shirt. people will think bad of me, all I have in my head is negative thoughts and I take it out on myself and bottling my up feeling and just pour it all out by hitting myself or objects. I cannot let this happen anymore, and this song just reminds me of it. but I will have recovery from this, and all these bad moments will eventually disappear if I follow my happiness and don’t mind all the other people, and if I don’t have friends to help me through. ok well it’s alright!
