The U.S. Air Force has a ton of good trade skill career fields in its 2 Series or MX jobs. Most Air Force maintainers get out and make 6 figs easily.

My father was a diver, and was given offers for jobs that pay near 300k for 3-6 months of work. The only problem, is my brother was just born, and half of these jobs are saturation dives in the middle of the Atlantic. And if you know anything about saturation diving, its one of the most dangerous jobs in the world, with risk of literally blowing up.

In my area, to become a dental hygienist, you have to earn a 4 year bachelor's degree at my local university.

I really don't see how a dental hygienist is considered a trade since most programs need college level pre-reqs. It is an impacted program which means grades matter. You are based on a point system and the higher the points, the higher the chance of the school accepting you. A lot of programs are requiring the TEAS and sometimes the HESI. At that point you have the pre-reqs to go into registered nursing and so many other medical fields.

One thing worth mentioning for the people reading the comments many of these degrees/career paths can be interchangeable.
