Ben Mallah was arrested by Pinellas County Police Department and is currently under house arrest at his Clearwater Beach home for his involvement in a multi-state tax fraud scheme. We have reached out for comment but have yet to hear back.

In the state of Florida a public figure can only sue for defamation of character if they can prove the defendant acted with actual malice. Skipper Jones clearly isn't acting with malice, so no, Ben can't sue for defamation. Unless he wants a countersuit.
