Candace Cameron Bure is celebrating a quarter-century of marriage with the love of her life! On June 22, the “Fuller House” star marked 25 years of marriage with her husband, former hockey pro Valeri Bure. They celebrated the milestone with a romantic trip to Pebble Beach, California, and while there, Candace wrote an Instagram message praising God and sharing some of the keys to her and her husband’s long-lasting love. She wrote in part, “I’m often asked for marriage advice. What’s the secret? Lord knows I will never write a book about it because we are still learning every year, every day. Grace. Grace. Grace. Communication (which is so important but difficult when one partner isn’t willing.) Sex. Laughter. Patience. Lots of patience. Love (a verb. which must be put into action, it’s not just a feeling.)”

Our 25th is coming up in 2 months! No, it’s not easy but it’s worth it! A good marriage consists of two good forgivers who are not willing to give up on each other. And yes, spirituality and strong faith plays a huge role because we can’t do it on our own. “A threefold cord can not easily be torn into.” We have experienced this fact. I can honestly say that our love we had for one another when we were dating and on the day we got married has grown into a deep abiding love. We have helped one another grow as individuals and supported one another’s goals and dreams. It’s not been smooth sailing. We have experienced deep loss and tragedy but it made us stronger. I applaud couples who hold on during the inevitable storms of life throughout their lifetime. It’s refreshing when ppl realise they may not be perfect but they are perfect for one another through thick and thin.

God is definitely the secret to a great marriage. Marriages are not easy but when corded in a three stranded rope it’s stronger than just two.

Ms. Bure, I read the news story regarding criticism you have endured over your choice of wedding attire. Pay them no mind. You and your daughter both look very beautiful. There will always been mean-spirited people "out there." You look wonderful. Regards, Bob in Ontario Canada

Here's the thing about that Candice and Mario we were raised in a different generation 18 to us and our generation a lot of us were already having kids you know we were very mature for our age and are generations to move out at 18 these '70s and '80s children which was our generation we were raised to be very independent very you know self-made these kids today that they would never be able to do what we did it's all generational

She is barely home. She works. They don't have to spend time with each other 24/7
