An August sunrise run through the Rolls OHV area of Tonto National Forest to the cove beach of Saguaro Lake. This run will gave us a beautiful sunrise over the Four Peaks Mountains, great views of the desert, rock obstacles, downhill maneuvering, and just a wonderful Sunday on the trails.

Unlike Bulldog Canyon, there is no permit or fee required to use this OHV area.

This link will take you to the Tonto National Forest page for the Rolls OHV area. You can also download a PDF of a map of the trails.

that big hill didn't look too bit to me until I got to the bottom on my quad(trx400ex), when I turned around I knew that I was in for a hell of a ride, it didn't help that it was pitch black out too XD it was still fun. if you keep at a steady pace going up there isn't any problems. still had to change my pants when I got to the top though.... awesome video man.

We just got back from the lake via OHV 13. Had a trio of vehicles, a
Chevy Colorado ZR2, Jeep Wrangler, and a Toyota 4 Runner TRD. No issues except a couple of downhill rough tight turns, and some Arizona pinstripes. This was the 3 rd attempt with the 1 st time getting rained out and ran out of daylight. I suggest getting out and investigating the tough terrain before heading on blindly. I didn’t air down the Chevy and made it just fine.

Wonder if a stock gmc envoy will make this trail. Looks like a ton of fun and want to get out and explore

So how did you get such a stable platform to film your video? Hand held?

Do you think a stock Ford F-150 couple make this trip?

Do you think 143, 1343, 1813, 1830 would be easy enough for a stock 4x4 Toyota with AT tires?

Im looking into taking my truck here. Would this be do-able in a 4wd silverado? (stock with mud tires) How long would it take without the detour you took on 401a? Really wanted to just take the 1813 out of butcher jones, but it has been closed for some time now. Not sure when it will open.

Eco Diesel! What a great idea! Unless pre 2019. Previous to this edition these motors are a time bomb waiting to explode. Dodge will gladly replace them on warranty, but once warranty expires they deny there is anything wrong with these motors. Then number 4 crank journal blows and you have to replace the engine! That’s right! The entire frickin engine! No parts available, a total remove and replace to the tune of 15-17 grand US. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER DODGE PRODUCT! Don’t believe me, just google it and read all the horror stories. Absolutely incredible! Back in the day, drop the pan, pull the crank, get it turned, add some oversized rod bearings and away you go. Who creates a remove and replace motor? No parts available! Should be criminal! But I rant, $17, 000.00 will do that to you!
