One Man Metal Band - Fake Smile Revolution - My Blurred Future

Показать описание
This one was pretty difficult to "one take". I did't capture the 2nd guitar because it's the same as the first with a few exceptions.
Guitar and bass are directly recorded into a M-Audio Profire 610 and processed with VST-Amp simulation plugins (FreeAmp 3.6 + ReCabinet 3.0).
Vocals go through a t.Bone SCT 800 tube mic into a Studio Projects VTB-1. Pretty few VST's on the vocal channel, mainly compressor, doubler, eq and a little bit of reverb.
Drums are not triggered as many say in the commentaries :)
It's a mix of both. Drums are recorded by mics only (I counted 11). Then I software-trigger it with Drumtracker from Toontack and create a MIDI file. The final result is a mix of about 65% well mixed real drum sound from the mics and 35% Superior Drummer. That's what makes it sound that damn fat xD
Is my MIDI quantized?? NO! I can't do that because when I only quantize the MIDI file, it correlates with the sound from the mics (wich I strongly recommend to NOT quantize since it sounds horrible). Learn to play drums dudes :P
Synth sounds are only MIDI (created by mouse, not midi keyboard since I can't play piano). VST is only Sylenth.
Also this song was a little test about my vocals. I track very low and one track a little bit higher. The low one seems to fit my voice much more. Sounds definitly better and I will focus on it in my next songs.
