Why does Gwen Stefani no longer look like Gwen Stefani?? Plastic Surgeon Reacts

Have you seen Gwen Stefani's new look in the news lately? The conversation is mainly about how she no longer looks like herself, and the question I am asked the most as a plastic surgeon is, "how do I get a facelift and still look like myself?" The truth is, can be done! My approach is to make you look as young as you feel by making you look like a younger version of yourself - NOT like someone different. In this video, Dr. Karam breaks down Gwen Stefani's before and after appearances, as well as going over what you can do to avoid bad plastic surgery.

I feel grateful to be part of the generation of people trying to embrace our natural age and beauty!

I don't understand how celebrities, who have nearly unlimited resources, end up looking so strange.

The surgery they’ve had doesn’t make them look younger; it makes them look bizarre. Thank you for speaking about this. I love your channel content!

I feel like every plastic surgeon everywhere needs to watch this video.
That's all

Just accept aging is natural. The celebrities don’t look younger, they look like an older person with surgery, its a bizarre look.

I’m a 42 year old woman who has never kept up with trends of any kind. I stick to a simple classic look because me everything else feels dated eventually. But at least clothing and hair are temporary. You might laugh at yourself in old photos but that’s the worst of it. Surgically altering your face or body based on a trend is inconceivable to me.

I just remembered I had a friend have plastic surgery on her face. No one recognized her so sad she was so disappointed but I looked at her and I didn’t even know who she was until I looked into her eyes and then I said her name and she said, how did you know Eye says because the eyes are the window to the soul. That’s truly sad that someone doesn’t recognize you.

I am never ever going to have surgery, yet I really enjoy watching your videos! I feel so sad for the people who got bamboozled by bad surgery. 😢

Your a sensible and articulate surgeon. Thank you for speaking on this and discussing how beauty trends are timely. I think a lot of people have trouble seeing beyond the beauty and surgery trends.

Dr, your Vertical Lift is by far the best result out there, it’s just fascinating to watch your thought pattern & procedure

Lorry Hill did an excellent overview of all of Gwen’s suspected work. I agree she’s had at least two facelifts, maybe three. She’s been getting work done for years. Go back to her No Doubt days. She looks so different now and artificial. This last procedure was more noticeable because she apparently went for the ‘foxy eye’ trend, which made her eyes looked pulled and smaller. I don’t understand the popularity of this trend. Why would you want your eyes to look smaller? She’s also had too much lip filler or one too many lip lifts. Her mouth looks unnatural, especially in close-ups. i was watching her on The Voice the other day and was do distracted by her face! The cheek implants also look odd. It’s another trend I don’t understand. It changes the whole structure of someone’s face. Look at Madonna. Hers is horrible. Dr. Amir is so knowledgeable! If I had a facelift, I’d want him to do it!

She looks distorted and is almost becoming a mirror image of Donnatella Versace. Prior to their multiple surgeries, both were very pretty women.

I don't know how a regular middle class person like myself got a much better facelift than these celebrities. I will say that I watched Dr. Karam videos and they did help me find a good local surgeon to do a deep plane facelift.

Gwen Stefani has had multiple procedures throughout her career. She did not look like herself even before this latest round of surgeries, it’s just that this time her eyes were changed too much and she looks a bit pulled .

I’m not a celebrity and I’m not rich, but at 64, I consulted with 3 different surgeons and chose Dr Karam for a full face rejuvenation. He made suggestions and I’m glad I listened! 1 1/2 years after surgery, I don’t regret my choice, tho his price may have been more compared to the other consultations. But I have less regrets!! Fat transfer and his expertise really is key to this huge decision.

Clickbait. This was NOT a video addressing Gwen Stefani's surgical face changes. It was just an informative video about aging, facelifts and a promotion of his own service and skincare products.

Love Gwen Stefani. One of my fave people. It’s so sad to see what she’s done to that beautiful face of hers. She was so pretty.

Thank you for explaining the face lift process without using a lot of medical terms that would baffle your audience. You are clear, concise, yet thorough in your explanation. You are an incredible physician and an excellent orator. Continued success to you.

The fact that celebrities (& so many celebrities!!) can end up looking so bad leads me to think it must be really hard to find good surgeons.
