The mouse guards should be on and it's important, with all the workers that are now dying, to check the entrances to make sure they are not blocked up with dead beas.

Also if you spot lots of dead bees around your hives at this time of year, this is normal, but if you spot it you can always clear them away from the hive to prevent other insects taking an interest in them so close to the hive and also to prevent them rotting and becoming diseased.

You may think things are slowing down, but there are still things to be done!
