I think you can hunt grey squirrels in the uk at all times as they are an invasive species.
You're not allowed to torture them, but you can kill them. Traps or if you can shoot them. The red ones are a protected species.

This is going to be incredibly interesting to watch, Being from Scotland we have a very, very drastically different view on Guns compared to our American Cousins (Especially after the 1996 Dunblane massacre). The scariest thing about gun ownership in the US is the fact that 90% of the owners don't seem to be as down to earth as yourself my friend haha.

Guns and freedom of speech is what separates us from the rest of the Western world, makes us quintessentially American. Also why ultimately we as Americans don't have super oppressive governments.
