NJ Water Supply Plan

Показать описание
New Jersey recently released the draft of its Water Supply Plan. This plan explores the current and future availability of drinking water in the State. NJ law requires the plan to come out every five years and look at sources of water supply regionally and statewide; current and future demands for drinking water and needs for new infrastructure or interconnections between systems. The newest update to the plan also looks at the impacts of climate change and water pollution on the availability of drinking water.
In this webinar, recorded on May 17, 2024, Jennifer Coffey, Executive Director of the Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions and member of the NJ Water Supply Advisory Council and Laura Norkute, Director of Water Quality and Environmental Compliance for New Jersey American Water, talked about the draft plan and how drinking water suppliers use the plan to protect sources of their water supply.
