I usually don't really like it when some people tend to lump up sci-fi along with fantasy, because those 2 genres have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

Before some of you guys say that they are both similar, because they both do imaginative worlds. Well, here's the thing.

Sci-fi films do differ from fantasy films.
1. It places emphasis on scientific principles than fantasy does.
2. It doesn't have any magic, nor anything supernatural within it.
3. It actually inspires a lot of inventors to invent gadgets that can occur in the real world than fantasy does.
4. It actually has more plausibility within its science than fantasy does.
5. It's very naturalistic to its core.

So, therefore, there's absolutely nothing similar about them at all.
