People say Fred is a douche, but he sounded very well spoken.

It's 2021. Things have degenerated so much that Fred Durst seems like a reasonable man in hindsight. The apocalypse is upon us.

All this hate on fred durst only makes the message in his lyrics more real.

Scott Stapp was not only the nicest most polite thankful celebrity I’ve ever met, but just pure genuine good person. He wouldn’t hurt a fly. Hate the bad rep he gets. Maybe he used to be a jerk but he sure as heck is a great guy in 2022

Well done to Fred for not letting them interrupt him and finishing his sentences before moving on to the next question.

First hand, real life experience with Scott. We photographed his relative's wedding. He was nice and not a total douche like I've always heard.

this was definitely true about him at this time, but after he hit rock bottom, homeless, now he's starting to make a Comeback. I just met him after a concert recently and he was pretty cool

Fred has a poing but truth be told there was something going on with Scotts head, so he wasnt really himself.

He called it lol. A few years later, That's exactly what happened. I find it odd that people think Fred is the douche for saying that this Scot had a holier than thou personality; cause he did.

It's amazing to me the public perception of Scott Stapp when Creed's first CD came out. Christian Rock, Jesus freaks, religious fanatic. I get the many references to God and religion in the lyrics but that was how Scott was raised. His father, a Baptist minister was a major influence on him as a child and that stayed with him. I'm not sure about Mark Tremonti or the rest of the band as far as their religious beliefs but they signed off on the lyrics and cashed in on the sales. My point here is that the music industry has had it's share of rock stars with questionable morals, suggestive lyrics about Satanism, wife beaters, drug users, convicted of many crimes. i.e. Vince Neil. Show up drunk at award ceremonies i.e. Scott Weiland, Slash. Huge egos like Axl Rose. And yet Scott Stapp is constantly ridiculed for having a belief that may have gotten out of hand for a short period of time. Honestly as far as rock stars lives go, his has been rather tame.

I honestly think this was very well put by Fred. He was just simply pointing out the bands cockiness and just saying they act above everyone. He even said he liked the music just not the way they acted.

Hahah, there is a little more to the story then that. Scott Stapp actually challenged Fred Durst to a fight and Fred wimped out.

Scott stapp ( creed ) through a free concert for fans because his throat was sore during the paid concert and he felt bad because his vocals were not as good so they went back to the same venue
and through a free concert for them. That does not sound like an asshole to me...
