since this video has resurfaced on the fyp i feel the need to make a disclaimer.

HI. i make ren faire outfits out of things i find at thrift stores. i’ve been a faire goer since i was 5. this video is educational to show you an example of something you can create on a budget from every day pieces.
yes it’s about trusting the process, no i do not ever intend on being historically accurate with my outfits, and if you don’t like the outfit, you do not *need* to tell me that!! otherwise if you enjoy my content please stay a while. okay have a beautiful day!!💖🫶✨

This is a great guide for others to get a feel for how you can find what you want at a thrift store! The outfit ended up fantastic! Well done!

I love seeing folks thrifting Rennie Garb!! It shows that you don't need much to get into this hobby and enjoy yourself at faire!! 🎉 ❤

Oh my god.. the layering was so perfect. It really shows how powerful good styling is, because I didn't like the colors of each piece separately, yet they look so good together.

the only change I'd do is use brown instead of black to soften the contrast, but otherwise it's amazing!

You could brush the flower crown with room temp espresso, and it would deepen the color of the flowers and give them a warmer cast.

It’s amazing how fast a belt full of things can elevate the outfit from pretty convincing to perfect for the faire

I grew up out at renfair and my mother was a seamstress, but she would still thrift to lighten the work load. Bedsheets make great under shirts/dresses and old upholstery pillow make great bodices if you can sew.

I wasn't sure when you chose the yellow skirt and the multi-coloured one. They seemed a bit overly bright. But then you put everything on together with ypur corset and accessories and looked perfect! ❤ I'm in love with that look! 👏🏻

Nice!
Many years ago (the 80s), I layered a bunch of pieces from my wardrobe that were "Stevie Nicks inspired". Ruffled gypsy style skirt, peasant style shirt, wide belt, "elf" boots (low cut flats), and a few other pieces.
I suppose it was a good outfit because I was asked more than a few times where the bathrooms were, what time a show started, and where did they serve the turkey legs.
I got a drink at a stand and they said something about the employee discount. I explained I didn't work there, just dressed up. He laughed and let me have the discount anyway.
I'm so glad to see dressing up for the Ren Faires finally got popular! 😄♥️

You really have a good eye for fun and interesting and then are somehow able to tie it all together. Very nice

THIS! THIS IS WHY I KEEP BEGGING MY MOM FOR PUFF SLEEVE TOPS AND A CORSET BELT! I don’t even really go to ren faires all that often, I just like playing around with clothes and wearing fun outfits when I go out and stuff

Edit: Welp- guess who just found a puff sleeve top at Walmart for 14 dollars XD
