Step on board the 56m Turquoise explorer Blue II

This video tour on board the 56 metre Turquoise-built yacht Blue II reveals the interior of the explorer for the first time.

It comes after the Hoek-designed explorer, previously known as Project Lombok, hit the water for the first time in May 2020. Blue II spent the following summer season cruising the Mediterranean.

Blue II's design, which is reminiscent of classic steam ships, was penned by André Hoek. Key features include an aluminium superstructure and ice-classed hull, making Blue II capable of exploring the Polar Regions and navigating the Northwest Passage.

acknowledging that taste is a personal thing... in my opinion, this is the most beautiful yacht launched in decades. it's magnificent. the only thing that worries me is that it's built by Turquoise. Their track record lately isn't so hot (e.g. Go, Yogi)

Pretty sick whilst everyone is starving. What’s the carbon footprint on one of those? Is the owner paying his staff enough money, is he putting money into pension pots, clearly not. This industry need to be limited or a global tax levied.

Looks like it was an old throw away steel ship, that was restored. However, the problem is these things want to roll big time and it would take lost of artificial stability to make it perform properly.
