How to Revive Kelvin in Sons of the Forest | EZ Tutorial

Here's an easy-to-follow tutorial on how you can bring back Kelvin if you unalive him or a glitch takes him out

Here is some more help if anybody else had issues like me:

1 - If your save folder only has a 'SaveData.zip' file, you can extract it to the same folder and delete the .zip.

2 - In your 'SaveData.json' file, scroll to the right on the same line of where it says "TypeID\":9" to find where it says State\":6. If you still haven't found it, then go to the line below, starting on the left side. The same is true for the Health. (There also seems to be 2 cases of where it says "TypeID\":9" on the file, it is the FIRST ONE)

3 - If you can't find where it says Health, it may not be there. (MINE WASNT THERE). I just added it in manually and it fixed it for me.

Make sure you paste that in the correct spot.

(My Anger was also set to an incorrect number so I changed it to 20, I'm not sure what this does but I did it to be safe. Maybe check your other stats too)

Hope this helps and please correct me if any of this is wrong. This is just what worked for me. :)

OH and if your save folder is very different with things missing or text missing in files such as 'Robby', Load your world, and do a new save. New save should fix it.

Thank you Dude. A few things to note for anyone having trouble (because I did).

Copy this to find the the Type ID - TypeID\":9 - If it says this cannot be found
1. Make sure you start at the top of the page
2. Change the direction in the Find menu from Up to down and Vice Versa.

Also, when he says to scroll left and one line down to find "State\":6", That will not necessary be true for you. It depends on your resolution, font size etc. The better way to find this is simply to scroll right on the same line and if you still haven't found it, then go to the line below. The same is true for the Health.

Hope this helps anyone having trouble :D

Thanks, man. Kelvin got hit by the spine mace heavy. I killed the heavy, and went to 'heal' Kelvin who was doubled over in pain, but there was no prompt to do so. I thought it was bugged so I saved and reloaded only to find him full dead. 75 days in, first it happened.

Worked for me but only after I realized that the Typeld was really TypeId - spelled with a capital i not an l as in letter. Thank you for the YouTube. Appreciate it. My Kevin froze to death, I think.

It helped a lot. My kelvin got a bug and I couldn't heal him. After loading last save he was dead. Thank you :D

Worked for me thanks! You've earned yourself a sub! Just a quick note: For me the health value wasn't NaN but it was set to 0.0. I guess because my Kelvin didn't glitch out but died regularly

Any advice on how to revive Kelvin with the new zip save files that SOF is using now? The method mentioned does not work. No Robbie is Dead in GameStateSaveData and files are read only.

For everyone like me who spent to much time trying to figure this out: Nothing i did was working and i tried so many variations of this.
Best solution i came up with was to activate cheat code, then godmode and add another Kelvin.
If i knew there was a cheat code it would've save me some pain. For the ones who don't want to use cheats then you just have to deal with the fact that kelvin is dead...

Me & ma bois where fighting some demons kelvin was holding the base door in the middle but he got jumped😢 so after i saw he was on the floor i went to defend him by hitting the demons at the door, somehow i went for a heavy hit and i accidentaly hit kelvin that was laying on the floor😂😂🥹that’s how we lost him but ik he’ll be back i let him sleep for a bit he did a lot for us🫡…now he still gone do a lot for us 😂
