When I first started unboxing my new rack kit I was getting extremely frustrated with the written instructions. I noticed the QR code and happened upon this video. Can you insert pads between the clamp to protect the paintwork? Particularly for the hook that goes under the top of the door.

I bought this kit for my KIA EV6. Assembly was a piece of cake with the video but I hardly dare to put the clamps on since they do not have any rubber protection. So it’s just the metal clamp (seen at 1:02) that directly sits on the sheet of the car. Is that how it was designed to be?

My bmw 5 touring ‘16 has no roof rails…. Is there any kit that goes with this evo clamp? Buyer’s guide doesn’t show any useful results

Im a bit confused by the video. It says that the "pointy" end of the bar should be facing backwards, but at 1:51 when the front left clamp slides on it looks opposite. What is correct?
