I am glad that you took your mum travelling. I had taken my parents on 2 trips and I wanted to do more… in 2018, I wanted to bring my mum to Japan but there was a bad typhoon. I thought there would be other opportunities, but in 2019, mum was abruptly struck by Parkinson’s. And this year, she developed dementia. And that’s it for her quality of life. Last year I had 2 minor operations, and this year I broke a few bones and had more aging-related ailments. Life is hard but still beautiful and interesting. We never know how long our lifespan and healthspan will be, so I will enjoy the little things in life, exercise moderation, and let go of people, possessions and processes that are not nourishing. I hope you will not delay creating lovely and loving experiences for yourself and for your loved ones. I wish you good health and inner peace.
