This sounds like a song that a villain would sing to the hero in order to explain their tragic backstory while dancing with the hero

The title is a reference to Laplace's demon which is an idea in which Laplace imagined a demon capable of observing all matter at once, basically being omnipotent. It's an interesting idea.

I read the description as "take a quick gender at him, please"

which I mean... still feels accurate

“Have you ever felt like Atlas, threw your back out on the axis, and collapsed and threw the planet away?” Is such an underrated line. I love the Greek mythology reference!

As a fan of English gothic literature I can see Edward Hyde singing this, while spinning his cane wow....

Okay, I did not know the artist, but I instantly fell in love with this song. Like, the depth, man, and I feel like the poetic self is either Lucifer or one of his angels, maybe singing in Heaven during their rebellion or as they are banished from it.

Man, the original video doesn't even have a million views. Will Wood is so underrated.

I just saw this and thought, "interesting background for a lyric video."
The background was as interesting as the song and I'm here for it.

Will wood is legiterally a lyrical genius. It’s whether you’re singing “Ooh Could you take a look at me? Am I bad, am I bad, am I bad, am I really that bad? Now we're singing Ooh, Whatever you think of me, If you were in my shoes, You'd walk the same damn miles I do.” or “It’s the norm for animals, it’s the norm for chemicals. It’s the norm for particles, eye for eye for tooth. It’s the norm for chemicals, it’s the norm for particles. Yes it’s only natural.” absolutely Intelligent. The fact that the backing vocals tell a story as well is absolutely intoxicating. It gives us two things to focus on. OHMYGAWD

I really love how his voice seems to become more insane throughout the song, starting with a calm voice and ending with that intense, psychotic la la la

I love how it starts as a plea and ends as berating
