This used to be a great city to live in. City administration is changing that very quickly.

I was working on Merriman Ave at night doing road work and a 5000 dollar piece of equipment was hit and destroyed by a drunk driver. Called police and was told a officer would call me back. Finally got a call 5 hours later when I was on my way home and was told nothing could be done cause I had left the scene. 😅

Asheville citizens got what they voted for. Defund the police = save your own hide. I'll come back in 2024 and we will see what the outlook is.

I mean its good ti see Asheville has since started ti turn around and want more cops if you havnt see the community requesting more officers and more patrols. Maybe Asheville will be a good place again

This is a major beautiful step in the RIGHT direction. Defund The Police, I'm in favor 200%. In 00:20 you said, you just have the man power to respond to all the calls coming in. But in reality, many of those calls are just a waste of tax paying dollars anyway. Police have been dispatched to silly calls for the longest. Come, my cat is stuck up in the tree. That is a non-emergency call. Thank God, police can no longer respond to many calls coming in.
Get your head screwed on right and you don't have to make un-necessary calls to the police. You would have more police available for real emergencies. Yes, I'm highly in favor 200%: DEFUND THE POLICE. Cut the police force down by 3/4 across America. You really only need 1/4 of everything.
Police should not even be making traffic stops. You don't go to jail for driving a car with expired tags, or broken brake lights, or accidently running through a stop sign.
Police are paid to chase and arrest criminals, not innocent citizens.
