it all went downhill after that 2:3 loss to Novak at Roland Garros

The problem of Stefanos is his parents. Props to them for taking him to this level but sincerely they didn't know when it was time to allow Stefanos to move on. In fact i believe his father especially turned it into a small family business with Stef being the cash cow. Winning a grand slam seemed less important and going deep in tournaments was enough for Stefs' dad since there was a lot of money being made anyway. Making Stef play doubles with his brother is a small proof of the "family business" i m talking about. Unless Stef cuts all business ties with his parents and finds himself a completely new team there is no chance of him winning a GS.

I watched this video and loved the balanced way Tsitsipas's situation was analyzed.

No...Federer's backhand was not the best one-handed backhand. You are confusing effectiveness with beauty. Wawrinka's backhand is. Consistent and aggressive like any world class forehand or double handed backhand. Opponents feared going to that wing.

Dimitrov has a one hand backhand as well, he’s moving forward in the US open

i think Thiem could show him a thing or two about a real backhand after his retirement

This has been said by many tennis fans time and time again, but Stefanos just does not have the key weapons to cover for his weaknesses:
- Weak and unreliable backhand slice
- Lack of reliable slice makes his return of serve to the backhand a major liability
- Lack of variety & reliability of serve
- Mentally weak compared to Djoko/Sinner/Alcaraz/Med etc etc.
- Backhand, while able to generate tremendous pace and spin, struggles during defense and fast paced rally due to large & inefficient motion
Federer & Dimitrov were able to overcome their backhand vulnerability with their reliable slice.
Gasquet & Wawrinka had powerful 1HBH that could deal with the heavy spin & pace.
Tsitsipas have neither.

for me he has already slammed badosa. The greatest grandslam in tennis today.

Never mind Federer, Wawrinka, etc. Tsitsipas needs to pattern his backhand after somebody from the past: Gustavo Kuerten. His grip and the way he sets up hints to that style.

2:41 Djokovic is completely insane to sustain these percentages even playing so late into his career.

Earlier this year, at MC, his backhand really appeared solid. Lately it's again totally random. You can't say never and he might change but there's a lot to change. The 1handedBH wasn't a problem for Fed. It just needs to be better.

He most likely, will need a Lendle, a Ferero, a Cahil or similar top coach / mentor, who which could get him over the line .
He was the best player and red hot at the 2021 french open. In the final he was wiping the court against Djokovic - then he eased up just when on the brink . Since then, he has never reached the same level
He still has time, but he ll need a special person like above - to get there

Please stand up and start over again. We will wait for until you sort yourself out. Just carry on

He needs someone to change his attitude and completely rework his BH in all aspects

How he hits it
How he approaches it when returning serve
How frequent he goes DTL

I loved Tsitsipas in the past and considered him top player after Djokovic, rafa and Medvedev at that time... But his downfall started and he is nowhere near Alcaraz, sinner etc
