What a wonderful comedy! And Howard Keel young, looks fabulous! I have never know Jane Wyman, she is pretty. And I really did not have a clue who she would choose, I did not even guess.

She had pretty feminine features & a good actress, but I always wonder what's with her unflattering haircuts.
In this movie her hair looks more a helmet than hair @ 1:03:32 .
Being my lifelong profession, I can't help but notice the hair in movies both mens and womens, mens imo were always better than womens hair, it just sort of part of them where with women I generally wonder what they were thinking, lol!

Sounds like she had a tough personal life.

Her daughter Maureen died of melanoma in 2001, 6 yrs prior her death in 2007 she was 90.

The part of Mike Van Johnson at the lab talking of bioluminescence, is very relevant to current times.
