In a word - AWESOME.   I love your instructional videos, I've progressed so much viewing them.   And the big reason why is your attention to detail in explaining something.   "Lower the thumb and wrist."    That made it all fall into place for me.   I've seen lotsa other videos people trying to explain something, you my friend are worlds above and apart!   Cheers indeed!

Kiaora mate. There's no need to program the Em and Am shapes differently to improve the Barre chord. But I do like your thinking on this. It's just another shape like G or D7 to learn, so it isn't necessary. Try using the 'Pressing technique' from "How to change chords quickly"

g/2 secound finger secound fret 
d/3 third finger third fret
a/x muted
E/x muted
i play it this way when im using open chords i find it easier to switch chords through a progression, barre chord method is good too because when you learn that f you have f, g, a, b, c, d, e same shape different fret...your teaching method is good man, i love your videos

Sounds pretty normal...if it continues to be sore...try to make sure you relax after each bar. eg. take the pressure off for that split second before the next bar.
