I often don't agree with Dave's approach when it comes to responding to certain things sometimes, but this one was truly heartwarming and motivational. Many props to Dave and Ken for this one.

This made me cry . People don’t give people room to elevate. Give yourself permission to thrive !

Way to go Papa Dave! It’s hard to overcome a past, but every day you make good choices is a day closer to reaping from the good rather than the bad.

What an inspiring video, one of best, to encourage a man who has gone through really tough and hard times. May God gives this man a second chance.

Listening to Dave’s Conviction and Faith for this young man overcomes any of the ignorant and judging perspective I previously held of Dave..

Bravo sir, you deserve everything you have.

-just a 36 year old man that needed to hear this as well

Much hope for this guy. Kicking drugs out of your life is tough. I hope he beats the system.

Go to every shop or garage in the area. Maybe other dealerships too, but independent auto repair shops are a better option. Or, in Indiana he can do agricultural machinery repair if he knows anything about diesel engines.

As a guy with a felony I totally understand & wish the system had some help to those who really want to change

This is why I love this show. They walked him through how to overcome not only financial but overall aspects of life! Great advice by both Ken and Dave!

To Dave's point, there actually are some bigger companies that practice "fair chance hiring" and provide some great opportunities for people with a criminal background. The ones I know of are in Tech so someone in that situation might have to learn a new skill but whether it's expanding your circle or looking for opportunities where the system isn't punishing you for a mistake, there's still hope.

I know there were people that needed to hear this. Often times I don’t forgive myself for a lot of stupid decisions, it’s very nice to hear something like this. It’s so easy to punish yourself, it’s much harder to push yourself.

My brother works at a small business shop and definitely makes close to 30/hour. I’m sure there are more options for you man. Congrats on staying clean and changing your life 🙏🏽 wishing you the best

Great advice. I worked with a guy here in Greenville SC who just got out of prison and there are a ton of organizations ready to help ex-prisoners get back in the mainstream. That has to be true in Indianapolis too. The guy I worked with got a minor job in a major corporation with opportunities to move up pretty quickly.

That's the best pep talk I've heard from Dave! I hope the young guy heeds his advice.

I worked at a small shop making great money, I had let the owner know I didn't even have a license at the time and he told me no problems. And even today with a felony on my record it was easy to get a job even letting people know I have it. Don't sell yourself short!
