Dr. Pinker has a lot of good points. He's got some blind spots, but it's a fact that, as highly as we humans like to think of ourselves, each of us individually because every one else is a loser, we're all a bunch of clueless nitwits, to a greater or lesser degree. I mean, we named ourselves homo sapiens. 😂. But I guess compared to chimps, we are pretty smart, not particularly wise, but quite astute.

As my favorite Canadian psychologist likes to say, if you don't like what you are hearing, tell a better story. Pinker tends to apologize rather than tell a new positive story. If I were smarter, I'd tell it.
