I can taste words and I always thought it was normal until I asked somebody what they thought the word happy tasted like & they got really confused

I'm glad I found a name for this! I thought seeing numbers and letters as people and colors was normal. It actually made me cringe when that lady said 6 is a flirty woman though lol. He's cocky, put still kind hearted and siblings with 4

I was told I have a type of synaesthesia a few years back. The only time I experience it is if there is a loud noise (door slam, car backfire, someone dropping something) I see a white flash. It was intensely scary when it first started happening, but then I learned about it.
Synaesthesia and it's various forms is so interesting to me.
Our brains are so complex, it's bound to get a few wires crossed one in a few thousand brains. I wished I could taste colour though, that is the best one I've heard about.

I have this when I was a kid, I remember playing with crayons thinking they're people with personalities. For example green is a guy and red is a woman. Then I learned that red and green are both complementary colors and it made me so happy because in my mind, they are like a couple and they should always be paired no matter what😂

Oh, here's my experience! I remember back when in high school, our Values Education teacher's speaking voice tastes like between egg pie and crème caramel whenever I close my eyes. Makes me go home to bake goodies. 🙂

idk if I'm a synesthese or I just associate things weird.
All colours and days of the week have colours. and a lot of words too.
1 is light blue.
2 is yellow.
3 is blue or purple.
4 is orange.
5 is red FOR SURE.
6 is yellowish
7 is green for sure
8 is purple or black
9 is dark purple
10 is black
For some reason I associate a and b with even and odd.
A seems like a skier.. someone who is brains over creativity. glasses.. high voice. yellow.
b seems like a snowboarder, purple or red, creative, deep voice.
Monday is yellow
Tuesday is green
Wednesday is purple
Thursday is purple but different sometimes
Friday is red or black
Saturday is yellow
Sunday is brown or no colour at all.
Peter sounds yellow.
So does Derek.
computer sounds grey.
Lily is pink.
I sometimes write an f instead of a five and they're both red.
I have no idea if I have synesthesia.

As a synesthete myself (colour-grapheme, sound-colour, colour-sound), I spend a lot of time trying to figure out a way to explain synesthesia properly to non-Synesthetes and trying to find videos that explain synaesthesia well and this is by far the best video ive found!
