I quit church I just didn't see God there anymore they just want our money I do believe in God and u pray that he will help me I do go to luthrean bible study groups there more about peace and love and kindness

Coolio. Anything that can help us to recondition our minds that have been conditioned to believe in limitation more than expansion has got to be positive and constructive. As I have said here before, my favorite gospel is the Gospel of Thomas, which is considered a heretical text. There were many accounts of the life of Jesus circulating at the time that the Bible as we know it came to be what it is. I appreciate the Gospels that were chosen for the Bible, too, but I really love that the gist of the Gospel of Thomas is this: I am the Light of the World, and so are You. Jesus in Thomas does not want to be obeyed, worshipped, idolized, revered, etc. The Thomas Jesus knows where he came from and the power that comes with that knowing, and he came here to help us also remember where we came from and who we really are and what that can mean to and for us if we can remember. In superficial ways, it seems as though the end of Jesus's story here on Earth should hardly encourage anyone to follow in his footsteps. However, if viewed in a more sophisticated way as a metaphor, his dying of the flesh to be born of the spirit could be viewed metaphorically as a rejecting of the limitations of his conditioning toward expansion into the possibilities of the imagination, which are limitless. That is how I interpret this story. Again, the prayer you offer here can perhaps help us to expand beyond our perceived limitations, which is a good thing. Thank you. : )
