The damage Michael Bay has done to the Transformers franchise and it's image is still being felt to this day. Transformers One is excellent, i've heard people call it a kids movie but so was Transformers the Movie 1986 and adults love that movie too.

I doubt many are asking for Optimus to look like he did in the Bay movies. Though it's fair to criticize the design choices of Pax and D at the start even though it gets resolved better by the end. Especially given that the aesthetics of the first few minutes of Bumblebee are some of the most praised in the whole live action series.

A lot of the jokes didn’t land, but the ones that did hit hard. Optimus pretending to transform and then the movie cutting to him already turned around and running away made me laugh out loud

Peter Cullen did want to do a Prime film conveying the origins of Orion Pax and Megatronus or D-16. I asked him myself at a FanExpo, and I have a video of it if you guys are interested and I can post it in my channel.

Saw this in 2D and thought at the time that the second act would have looked amazing in 3D. ILM really shined in act II.

Movie was great. Actually made me feel for D16(megatron)to find out YOUR ENTIRE LIFE WAS A LIE AND YOU’VE BEEN SLAVING FOR THE GUY YOU LOOKED UP TO? i would’ve felt the same way. I don’t know how Optimus was so optimistic👀about it…like it makes perfect sense that Megatron was beyond angry, because he was the biggest Sentinel fan. What kind justice was Optimus planning to give the guy that ENSLAVED THEIR ENTIRE RACE??😂😂😂Death was the only way. MEGATRON WAS RIGHT!
