Here's the thing about the headphone jack for people who are scared of losing it. Don't "attach" it to your phone. Attach it to your headphone cable. That way, unless you loose your headphones, you'll always have the adapter.

So I went down to the Apple store a bit ago and noticed that on every iOS 11 device, using 3D Touch resulted in noticeable frame skips. Even on the iPhone 8. Conveniently there was an iPhone 6s Plus that wasn’t updated to iOS 11 and an iPhone 6s that was updated right next to each other. I tried force touching the same menus and there was a consistent frame drop on iOS 11 that wasn’t present on 10. I was disappointed as the iPhone 8 opened apps really quickly, but there were animations that were not smooth. Chris, I’m with you!

The problem isn’t attachments. The problem is charging and using attachments at the same time Chris!! I’ve had a 7+ since release and it’s still annoying not being able to use headphones and charge my device at the same time

I got the 8 Plus in Stormtrooper white, which is what the silver looks like. It’s not silver, it’s white.

The adapter dongle can be lost...and like most said you can't charge and use headphones.

i currently have a 16GB iphone 5s im looking to upgrade if i cant get an iphone 8 plus what would be a good running up should i go with an cheaper iphone 6s plus or go in on a iphone 7 plus ????

15:00 The problem is that you may not always have the attachment with you, if you're gonna connect to someone's speaker for example.

...be careful with that finish (side bands), it scratches/chips easily (space gray)... or at least it did for the 7 series did.
