This video shows the formulas and pKa values for a number of small molecules and ions, organized in a way that makes the factors that affect acidity clear. The size, electronegativity and hybridization of the the atom attached to hydrogen are important, as are the resonance, inductive effects and charge of the molecule or ion. The pKa of ammonium was predicted (poorly?) based on charge effects.
