Hi Rob, don't you get bonus points if you're within 10. In which case there is no point tipping less than 10. One of the games you tipped a team to win by 1 point which makes no sense, because you will only get an extra point if they win between 1 and 11 points. If you had tipped by 10 points then you get an extra point if you win anywhere between 1 and 20. Always tip at least 10, that way you get anything up to 20.

Rob, the AFL is not set up as the Premier League, where half a dozen teams dominate decade after decade mainly if not purely based on talent. There is not that much difference between top and maybe those above the bottom 4 here. That's the way the AFL wants it. The game is also highly demanding both physically and psychologically. Apart from pure player ability the top 4 usually manage both these areas well over a longer period. Ups and downs are fundamental to the game here. Richmond could very well make a run now, I hope they don't. Go Saints!

St Kilda definitely werent awful. Not every team playing well is perfect. They were outstanding defensively, for example. Otherwise the only teams that arent awful are the top 2 or 3 teams and even then those teams can win in a less aesthetic fashion ala Melbourne over Collingwood.

I feel like youre overvaluing certain elements of a game.
