Two years ago I bought a bag of potpourri similar to the one you showed in the video from "At Home" and turned most of the contents of the bag into ornaments for my nature inspired tree, lots of painting and adding glitter but very fun.
I also found these little ceramic squirrels salt and pepper shakers sold at Dollar Tree. I passed thin twine between two holes in the head of each squirrel and voila instant wooland ornaments for my tree.
