Bach: BWV 902. 'Fughetta in G-Major'

Показать описание
The Fughetta in G-major, BWV 902, is part of the preludes, fugues, toccatas and fantasies BWV 894-923. “Fughetta” means short fugue. However, a fughetta’s writing is also less formal and less strict than that of a full-fledged fugue. For example, the staccato eighth notes framing the 3/8 measure play entire harmonies instead of independent counterpoint and also include more than three notes even though the fughetta only has three voices. The G-Major fugue of the second book of the Well-Tempered Clavier features the same theme.

Wow, the baseline is 95% identical to the fugue in BWV 884 in his Well Tempered Clavier!

In my opinion it could have been better with a second dominant entry in the exposition.

Why do we have to play everything of Bach so fast? It sounds like a lot of scribble. So what if the pianist can
wiggle his fingers fast? It does nothing for the music.

Why does this fugue, performed like this, seem like a comic jingle played for her friends at the end of a birthday party by an exhibitionist and somewhat snobbish little girl?...
Why?

Stop with the fast Bach. Just STOP!!! You are completely ruining the interpretation of the slower Baroque Period.
