Cleveland Cavaliers 2014-2015 Opening Night (LeBron James' Return): Intro Video and Chalk Toss

Opening night of the 2014-2015 NBA season for the Cleveland Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena on October 30, 2014. This was LeBron's first regular season game back in a Cavs uniform after four years in Miami and the atmosphere was electric. I got everything from the player introductions through to the chalk toss; sorry for the occasional shakiness of the video (it was LOUD in there) and the shifting between screen and floor. Enjoy! This is and was and will always be more then 1 player on 1 team. LeBron James playing NBA Basketball in Cleveland Ohio is what the city needed the fans needed and the world needed. When he went back there was Magic in the City each night and people were excited to watch Cavs basketball. When they won the title coming back against the best team in the league from 3-1 down winning on the road. That will never be duplicated and we all watched history unfold!

I may get some heat for this but not one single sports city (except maybe buffalo) understands what that moment means. It gave an entire region hope. And I culminated into a championship. Something that most of us in NE Ohio had ever seen. Something that we thought we may never see. I can tell you where I was, what I was doing when it was announced LeBron was coming back. Name a city and I can tell you nothing compares to this singular championship. Not Detroit. Not Cincinnati. Not Boston. Not one city in the 4 major sports in this country has the heartbreak over all those sports like Cleveland does. Don’t tell be about the Cubs going 100+ years without a world series. They got 6 from the bulls and along with one from the bears. Cincinnati had the reds. Detroit had the pistons and red wings. Hell even the fucking marlins even won 2. So in conclusion this was awesome and I still get tears when I hear lebron announced.
