I generally prefer Omega watches but datejust is most stylish watch I've ever seen.

My dad has the same 16238, I mean as the same as the bracelet too, he has been wearing 30 years without polishing, still in very good condition and same accuracy, very iconic DJ!

My uncle had one like this when I was a kid. He was a head chef in a fancy restaurant and made a lot of money. I always associated this watch with success. Fast words three decades and the CEO of my company wears one as well. Although, I believe it is a newer reference. He is uber-wealthy. I never liked gold watches because I thought they were too ostentatious. I felt they were only for rich old guys....until recently. I am definitely not rich, but am old. Now they are starting to appeal to me. There is something so timeless about them; even though it is a lot of gold to flashing on your wrist.

A day-date in 18K yellow gold with a Presidential bracelet, 18038, is the most iconic of the Rolex brand. Age is not even a factor as long as it was well handled and not abused. I have one from the 1980s that I only wear on special occasions and it always gets plenty of attention and looks showroom new.

I have a gold datejust from my birth year...so no 3135 movement and quite a bit older than 30 years. I couldn't say it's totally accurate all the time but unfortunately I've struggled to find watch repairers who can service it properly.

I have a fluted bezel on a Datejust and tge way the light catches its facets is amazing. One day....one day I ll treat myself to a yellow gokd Daydate, maybew even a new one

Its crazy the Day Date Gold 40 mm just looks like this watch but there is a 20k price difference

I think the onyx dial looks the best on a gold datejust with the president bracelet. The coronet is higher up and the lack of a day window really fits the feel of the onyx dial. Id put a diamond bezel on it on that combo.

You don’t see many gold datejusts anymore. When was the last time Rolex released them?

Vintage to me is a combination of age and style.

Nice video guys! When it comes to the price of the watch, chrono24 displays the average price development of this reference number right (so that is the ones with a bracelet and ones without)? If you then mention 10k for the datejust you are holding, do you mean WITH the bracelet? Cause that seems almost too good

Hey! That video was kinda like what I asked for in the last video :D (but I thought the video would be a little longer and a bit more deatiled!)

How much would the 16238 go for in todays market?

Watches or jewellery made of yellow gold was not so popular in recent years, i guess this will change.
