I always felt that there was something differently with the Scania KUBs on route 160/170 rather than other routes, like the engine sounds especially, and it always felts so good when I came back from Malaysia late at night on a 160/170 on the causeway bridge after a day of activities and shopping, it is just so relaxing, but sadly now I can't do that 😔

Sad news:

According to sgwiki, two scania k230ubs are awaiting deregistration, Sbs8075h and Sbs8144s😔. Sad that these buses arent going to be refurbished, not only that they probably wont reach their lifespan of 17 years, so early retirement like volvo b9tl cdge. I grew up with these buses, i can still remember they first commence service and soon one by one would be gone. At least the Euro V kubs and some refurbished euro 4 kubs will be retained but still. As for Volvo B9TL CDGE, many have been retired but fortunately for me, Service 50 which runs through my neighbourhood still have all 5 units in service😊Sbs7350U, Sbs7458T, Sbs7470G, Sbs7480C, Sbs7482Y. Sadly not for long😔

Hmm, reminds me back in 1997 when i rode service no.195 in an old Volvo Alexander model.the driver uncle treat the bus like an F1, with his near death cornering and accurate perfect parking at bus stops, surprisingly.i'm not too sure how much is the speed but i guess it should be around 70-90 km/h.can't forget my ride on that day, it is really thrilling and make my hair stood up!

The kubs that with jbj registered ones are 15 per cent aged faster than those kubs don't cover routes 160 and 170. Especially the latter
