I'm Meeting The Neopets Team At Comic Con 2018

The Neopets Team is hosting an exclusive San Diego Comic Con 2018 after party at Horton Grande's to launch a new mobile game, and I'm attending! I'm excited to be in the same place as SDCC and have the opportunity to meet TNT at this exclusive event. This Neopets Party will come with Neopets merch!

On July 19th, I'm kicking it Neopian style!

Hey! I live in San Diego and have some advice for getting around. Since Comic con will be going on obviously there wont be any parking, so I would suggest walking if your hotel is anywhere near the convention center, or taking an Uber if you need to drive. There's also a trolley you can take around the San Diego area that is specifically stopping around comic con areas, but I've never taken it myself.

The streets will be lively and packed but it wont be hard to move around, most everyone walks around during that time. So walking from the convention center to the event location might take you a bit longer than usual due to congestion but will still be an easy walk.

There's also comic con related events that happen outside of the convention center that you don't need a ticket to participate in, so if you have the time you can check those out too. There's usually free food in the parking lot at the end of the suspension bridge next to the baseball stadium. There's also a nintendo video game area inside the Marriott if you want some air conditioning, and it's also free to enter.

21+ Neopets event... damn this is kind of hype??

The free tickets were available and advertised to general neopets fans that Sunday! People were chatting about it at anime expo, which is how my friends and I jumped on it. We cant wait, I've been an avid user since 2002. I think this is definitely a community event though.. as someone who's gone to SDCC since 2012, I can vouch that there are 130, 000 very nerdy general attendees going to the con with a watchful eye for events relevant to them, many of which have a neopets background.. and not to mention neopians in driving distance. As fancy as the hotel might seem, its fully booked out by sdcc general attendees as of the hotel lottery several months ago (downtown hotels are super desirable for the con and sell out instantly). The hotels in the area are usually booked for con events and parties like this. I'm sure there are plenty of industry people there, but I wouldnt underestimate that this event will be jam packed full of just FANS :D This is huge for the Neopets community though.. they haven't done an in-person neopets meet in what.. a decade? And at that, it was never a party!

Good luck, I'd be great for people already in San Diego since it's kinda cheap! I live on the opposite side of the US, so it's not something I could go to. I was a bit weary of the event when I saw it because of the lack of info on capacity. I hope you can take pictures while you're there.

Ahh I wanted to go so bad but work and travel didn't make it possible. :'( I'm happy you get to go tho, make sure you make lots of pictures! I hope the food is neopet themed.
