Russia is the world's No. 1 grain exporter, but it is under Western sanctions. Its ships are blocked, insurance companies get secondary sanctions for insuring ships with Russian food, developing countries cannot pay to Russia for the grain because it is blocked by the US from using SWIFT interbank system

I sure hope Turkey, Russia, and Ukraine can reach a workable agreement on this crucial matter so that millions do not face starvation as a result.

Russia has always welcomed the passage of grain and protested against the passage of arms. Of course, Russia protests against any influx of arms into a warzone, it aggravates the war. The grain failed to pass not because the ports were "blocked by Russia", but because the only remaining port - Odessa - has been and still is mined by the Ukraine

Grains can be sent to world in same way the weapons is coming to Ukraine.

Ukraine dumped lots of sea mines in their seaport, Russia blocked the entrance and exit. Its difficult to find out what is really going on. I pray the war will stop soon.

Russian demands are reasonable. Anyone who denys this compromise is responsible for the starvation.

Is anyone asking Ukraine to démines port of Odessa and the portion of the Black Sea under its control ?

What about 5 million tons of wheat already shipped from Ukraine. to Europe by train and by road ?

aggieaggie
Автор

Just today, we heard about naval traffic jammed with 130 ships loaded with Ukrainian wheat exported to Europe by Ukraine itself. Isn’t that
enough wheat for the world ? That is
if Europe care anything really about the rest of the world.
