The interplay between their different music styles. Passenger finger plucking and melodic, Ed brings the bright punch that's always been so akin his style.
The harmonies are perfectly arranged, each one of them singing their part with emotion and care. This was such an awesome performance that I keep coming back to almost 10 years later.

I was 14 living in a new city when I first heard this song. I was a big Ed Sheeran fan and had never heard of Passenger even though Let Her Go was everywhere at the time.

This version gave me so much comfort when I couldn’t find it in this new city, no friends, new school. I had picked up guitar about a year prior, but this song flipped a switch and suddenly I wanted to learn Passenger’s fingerstyle guitar. I learned almost his whole discography. This song holds such a special place in my heart and is one of my favorites to play. I still play it as a warm up.

Mike’s music takes me to a place of warmth, nostalgia, and comfort.

Now, I’m 24 still living in this same city. I have a beautiful wife who loves me and I love her. This is her favorite song to hear me play and sing to her (yes it’s a break up song, but it’s still her favorite)

Thank you, Passenger, for helping me get through the rest of my awkward teen years and young adulthood.
