Having Max on this show with Jay & Keyshawn is better then him on first take with Stephen A. Smith in my opinion

It would be nice if the media actually watched the Hawks before they opened their pie holes.

I think ppl have underestimated considerably the value n impact Kevin huerter had. He's been a key piece in the kings resurgence, while the hawks took a step back while virtually having the same core

To have this convo about Trae and not Luka is wild. Trae has consistently Avg 27-10. No he’s not a complete player but literally no one outside of prime lebron is…you haft to build around him correctly. Just like they had to build around Giannis. Trae took a lesser team to the WCF as the guy. Hitting clutch shots. You need another all star who can legitimately shoot. Trae is the only guy with a consistent shoot. You have a team that lives in the paint to score and trae in the mid range.

It's people all outside of Atlanta that don't even watch the hawks with so much info about the hawks. I've never seen a player so hated by the media.

As a Spurs fan, this is music to my ears!
We own a boat load of the Hawks unprotected 1stRd Draft picks.

Trae the only player that gets the criticism he gets while others get all nba and mvp considerations.

1thing they never talk about is his passing ability.

I honestly never expected him to win a chip. He's a high-voluming shooting / low-efficiency small guard that can't play defense. He gets crazy assist numbers, but that's because his usage rate is high. He also led the league in turnovers 2 years in a row & been top 3 in turnovers ever since he was drafted. It's like us playing MyCareer in 2K, we have the ball the entire time, so we're bound to get 10-15 assist but also a lot of turnovers lol. Also, when the Hawks made the ECF, I always felt it was a fluke. They beat a Knicks team that just overachieved, that Knicks team didn't even make the playoffs the following year. Then they beat a 76ers team that just choked, & then basically loss to the Bucks without Giannis. The East was really between the Nets & Bucks that year, if the Hawks would have met either of those teams in an earlier round, they wouldn't have made the ECF, they probably wouldn't have even beaten the Heat that the Bucks swept in the 1st round. I don't think Trae is a max contract guy, but he probably will get it. If traded, looking at each team's personnel, I don't see where else in the NBA he'll fit in though. Maybe with Zion in New Orleans? The Magic with Banchero? A lot of the good teams don't need him, most teams have a decent PG already, & most of the weaker teams probably would rather just take their chances with tank, as Trae doesn't make them an instant contender.

This is interesting. I get it for the Hawks, considering where they are in the East and assuming an early exit this season. He's there most valuable asset and with the addition of Murray and guys like Sadiq bey exploring getting a star value guy that better fits long term would be a dream scenario.

How bout this for a take, assuming Boston comes up short again and Boston doesn't offer Jaylen the supermax and he explores free agency, what about a sign and trade with ATL for Trae? It would change the dynamic for Boston completely and I know Boston already has Smart and Brogdon, but Smart has played the SG before and I think with Trae being on a team where he would be undoubtedly the 2nd option (although the primary ball handler) while still having a defensive core. idk man. I think it makes sense. Would unlock Robert Williams a bit more also and then on the ATL front, they'd still have a great team with Jaylen given the keys. That team becomes better defensively with not much holes in that roster.

It was rumored ATL would make a strong push for Jaylen in free agency about a month ago. I didn't see how when I saw that but this all seems like a possibility depending if/how they come up short this yr.

If Orlando will not end up with Scoot Henderson than i can see them trading for Trae. He would make them instantly a playoff team. Trae, Wagner, Banchero, Carter Jr would be crazy young core.

I hope the new management waits for what Snyder can do for the team.

I’m sorry but the elephant in the room is Deandre Hunter. He has developed to be the second or third option they were expecting and instead is very much a role player.

Trae Young can't be your best player if you want to be serious contenders.

Seems like he's worn out his welcome there. He's already gotten two coaches fired and it seems like there's constant leaks coming out of that organization that portray him in a bad way.

You don’t trade Trae, you bring in another superstar to play with him instead. No team wins it all with just 1 superstar these days

They might as well try and get pieces for him

Trae doesn’t shoot the 3 nearly as well as you think. He’s around 35% and offers nothing else in the other aspects of the game, or off ball.

Idk how far the hawks is gonna go without trae young. Hawks went to the eastern conference finals with trae 💯💯

Is Nick Friedell's voice real? He sounds like Darth Vader.
