Enjoyed the Devon scenes. That was a swift reversal of those vans at N Abbot. With today’s traincrew that would probably take 20mins. A young Dean (just retired) hooking the 50 onto the ailing tram. Where was the tail lamp on those Tigers?

In my opinion a '50' at full throttle sounds even better than a Deltic. Controversial I know but growing up in Reading during their heyday I saw far more of them and they'll always be a favourite.

That was some impressive clag from the HST powering up leaving Exeter! Interesting that both power cars of the HST were under power, so perhaps an AWS problem. Impressive power to weight ratio there.
